How to care for your fashion jewelry

At Mikaela’s Jewelry  Box, I want you to get the most out of your fashion jewelry. Of course, we understand that fashion jewelry is not meant to last a lifetime. But with proper care, fashion jewelry can be a staple piece in your wardrobe for some time! I aim to sell great quality fashion jewelry that my customers can have fun accessorizing with. With that being said, let’s read the Do’s and Don’ts for our beautiful jewelry. 

• Don’t wear your fashion jewelry in the shower, steamer, jacuzzi (hot tub), pool, or beach
• Do keep your fashion jewelry away from water, lotion, oils, perfume/cologne, and any other harsh chemicals
• Do keep your fashion jewelry in the organza bag it comes in or a jewelry box when not wearing
• Don’t attempt to clean fashion jewelry with alcohol-based products, soap and water, or any other jewelry cleaning solution. This will cause discoloration and tarnishing. 
• Don’t store your fashion jewelry in direct sunlight, possible discoloration may occur after some time. 

Always remember to treat your fashion jewelry with some TLC! Be gentle, never overstretch or tug on your fashion jewelry, especially your stretch elastic band jewelry. Let’s be in the habit of removing all fashion jewelry before engaging in any sport like or vigorous physical activity; even before sleeping!
